Common Questions

Everything you need to know about starting your journey toward peace. We believe clarity reduces anxiety, so we’ve gathered answers to help you feel prepared and at ease.

First Visits

What happens at the first visit?

Your first visit is a chance for us to connect and understand your needs. We'll discuss your history and goals together, ensuring you feel heard and comfortable with the next steps.

How should I prepare?

You don't need much—just a quiet space and an open heart. Having a list of current medications or any specific concerns can be helpful to keep our conversation focused on what matters most to you.

Will I get a same-day diagnosis?

While we begin assessing right away, arriving at the right understanding takes time. Our first evaluation provides a foundation for a gentle treatment plan that grows as we learn more about your path.

Telehealth

How do I join the session?

Joining your session is simple and requires no software downloads. You will receive a secure link via email or text before your appointment time. Just click the link on your phone, tablet, or computer to enter our private, virtual waiting room.

Is it private?

Your privacy is my highest priority and our platform is fully HIPAA-compliant. This means your video and audio are encrypted and never recorded. For the best experience, I recommend finding a quiet, comfortable space where you feel safe to speak openly.

Treatment & Medication

Can you prescribe medication?

Yes. As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, I am fully qualified to evaluate your needs and prescribe medications. We will work closely together to monitor how you feel, ensuring that any treatment plan is gentle, effective, and tailored to your specific biology and lifestyle.

Do I have to do therapy?

While I focus significantly on clinical medication management, I integrate therapeutic techniques into every visit. Healing works best when we treat the whole person, so I often recommend pairing medication with dedicated counseling to help you build a full toolkit for peace. If you already have a therapist you love, I am happy to coordinate care with them.
